I have worked very hard all my life to sustain a good credit. I never missed a payment on any bill. I always made sure to make my payments before due dates. Untill two years ago. Due to the economy, I had to take a job in a different state. I tried very hard to to keep up with my bills. However, since I had to pay for rent in a different state and a mortgage in another, it became very difficult to be able to keep up. For almost a year, I borrowed money from realatives to make up the difference between what I was making and what my bills were. I contacted all the credit card companies and mortgage holder to have them help me to keep my home and my good credit that I had worked very hard for. Unfortunatly, non of them offered any help. After realizing that it was impossible for me to keep up, I decided to do some reserach and came across MR. Kent’s website. I contacted several attorneys and in the end, he was the only one that I felt comfortable with. I made an appointment for a consultaion. From day one, I felt at ease with him. He never tried to tell me what was right for me. Instead, he informed me of my options and allowd me to make a decission for myself. Bankruptcy was the last thing that I was thing about. However, it became clear that it was my only option. At that point, I knew that I wanted MR. Kent to reprsent me. He was always there for me from day one untill last day and after. I hope that no one has to resort to bankruptcy, but if you do, I belive that you will not get a better service and personal attention as you would with Mr. Kent.

Thank you for all that you have done

After coming to the realization that my expenses had spiraled out of control, I was forced to make decisions that would dramatically impact my life both now and the foreseeable future.

The Kent Law Firm played a critical role in helping me get through a difficult time by providing expertise and information which allowed me to make an informed financial decision about the bankruptcy process. They laid out the options available to me in a clear, and concise manner. Any questions or concerns I had were met with empathy and understanding.

My experience with the Kent attorneys felt more like a partnership, versus your typical attorney/client relationship. This partnership lead to a successful financial outcome. I am now able to rebuild a foundation of financial stability for my family that otherwise would not have been possible without the help and guidance of The Kent Firm. Thank you so very much.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your service and wish you Merry Christmas. I would like to share our post-bankruptcy life experience which has been very successful.

First, we obtained discharged on 8/12/09 and since then I cleaned up my credit reports from all three credit bureaus. All the debts are now shown as discharged in Chapter 7. Both of our credit scores range from 640-660 on all three credit reports.

Second, we just sold our business and received a considerable amount of cash from the sale. Since we are debt free, we will have a positive net worth for the first time in our lives. We are going to be very careful with the money and use it wisely. I did not exercise the lease option which expires on 2/2010 so a buyer signed a brand new lease so our names are completely off after 2/2010.

Third, I just got approved for a new car loan up to $12,000 with 8.5% interest rate offer from Capital One. We are going to voluntarily surrender the leased Toyota van which has excess mileage and some body damage. Our monthly payment will be still less than $300 since we are going to put a down payment on the vehicle.

We have accumulated more than $6,000 in cash reserves since we filed bankruptcy. This was possible since we did not have any monthly debt payments other than the mortgage.

Finally, we have been making a 1st and 2nd mortgage payment on time but stopped paying for a 3rd mortgage (HELOC) since 5/2009 and we have not heard anything from Bank of America. They only called twice right after the discharge and I have informed them that the loan was included in the Chapter 7 and they just took the note.

I am sure I am going to hear from them later but if we stay in the current house for the next 2 years until we can qualify for a mortgage again, we are going to be fine. I am going to continue to make 1st and 2nd mortgage payments on time and see how Bank of America responds. All three mortgages are owned by Bank of America and they may leave us alone since we are making the 1st and 2nd mortgage payments on time.

Once again, your firm saved our family from the financial tsunami and your firm has been our early Christmas gift. If you ever need me as your reference or assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to let me know. I owe you so much.

Take care.

-Andrew K.

I think that my situation is similar to many Americans that due to a series of events and circumstances, you find yourself in a spiraling state that leaves you no choice but to seek help. I am 44 years old and have been working since I was 15. I was laid off in January of 2007 and was unable to find a good job for the entire year. During that time I had two health events that required hospitalization. I did not have insurance after my Cobra expired. I could not afford the high premium being that I was living off of my small nest egg that I have saved. Staying in my home seemed more important at the time.

I went from $120K a year to about $15K. Needless to say, the bills started to accumulate and go to a point of no return. I started with a credit counseling service and after going through the process, it was recommended that I seek a bankruptcy attorney to explore my options.

I was physically ill after speaking with the Credit Advisor. I had never thought that I would ever be in this situation. I had a very fortunate working history and was always well paid. My life and budget were geared around goals based on the salary that I was accustomed. But that all changed.

I did a lot of researching law firms and attorneys in the bankruptcy field and I narrowed my choices down to a Mr. Howard Kent. I had no clue how to proceed with a bankruptcy and was really distraught about the reality of what I was facing. I was in constant worry that my creditors were going to take my home or sell my personal belongings. It was a living hell.

After a brief consultation with Mr. Kent, I felt immediately that I had made the right decision. The anxiety and worry that I suspect that all people in this situation feel can be overwhelming. Mr. Kent’s experience, compassion and professionalism in his field have taught him to recognize this and he interacted with me on a human level. He continually reminded me not to worry, that he would lead me through this and that we would work together for the absolute best outcome.

I did feel better but the process was long and tedious. Mr. Kent and his staff patiently detailed my Chapter and defined everything line by line as well as how it affected my strategy. I have to say that they were so thorough; I feel that I could probably be a good paralegal in this field after going through this process. I never left Mr. Kent’s office with an unanswered question which gave me a comfort level that I certainly needed in this situation.

My Bankruptcy is now finished. I am now on the road to credit recovery. The outcome of my case still mesmerizes me. I could not have asked or even imagined a better result in my situation. I have Mr. Kent and his staff to thank for helping me get my life back on track.

I can not thank Mr. Kent enough.

Sincerely,

-EXP
